With more than 25 years’ experience as an electrician, Joshua Braunstein is uniquely equipped with the knowledge and skills to not only translate Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) findings, but to determine and clearly explain their implications for each customer.
After working as an electrician while earning a degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington, Joshua pursued his commercial Journeyman license and joined IBEW Local 46.
His experiences in the construction industry, however, highlighted the limitations of X-ray technology when it came to locating and identifying items embedded in concrete. The cumbersome process and its often unclear results inspired Joshua to seek out a more efficient and reliable alternative. Ground-Penetrating Radar was the solution.
|JOSHUA’S CAREER HIGHLIGHTS|
After flying across the country for a first-hand demonstration, Joshua and his wife Sheri Braunstein eagerly invested in the technology. Still, he believed the available training was lacking. Beyond simply discovering an embedded item, Joshua aspired to tell a customer what the item was — to assess the risk of cutting near or through it. And so, with his burgeoning passion for “seeing in concrete,” Structural Radar Imaging was born.
Now, with more than 10 years’ experience providing SRI customers with superior GPR service, Joshua is an expert in his field who has maintained an exceptional 99% accuracy rate over more than 11,000 jobs. His one-on-one training and guidance for his employees ensures the consistent results his customers have come to expect, and as the construction industry continues to evolve, Joshua’s motivation and leadership remain steadfast.
